A few days after this picture was taken, the old school you see being demolished in the foreground was completely gone. As I looked around at how things had changed, it struck me how much bigger and closer the new school building seemed now that there was nothing there to block my view.
Doesn’t the same thing happen to us when we remove the blind spots and obstacles that nail us to our past? Sometimes we just need to say good-bye to the way things used to be, even the good things, so we can clear the way and make room for something even better.
