Trust God with All Your Heart

As you can see, I am a little enamored with the Coffee for Your Heart analogy. 🙂

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. ~ Proverbs 3:5-7

Proverbs 3:5-7 is a familiar passage I know. Quoted often. Memorized. Engraved. Mounted on walls. Makes a lot of comforting sense doesn’t it? It’s logical even. Trust God, acknowledge His ways, then you’ll know just what to do. 1-2-3. Just like that. Easy as pie. But life doesn’t always follow that simple story-line. And we wonder where is God when we do all the right things and nothing is happening.  When the proverbial path eludes us. What then?

We trust with all our heart.

Trust that He who began  a good work in you will see it to completion. Trust that He will provide. Trust that no matter what, he is with you every step of the way. The other day I found myself in a place where it came down to answering either I trust God or I don’t. I really needed to get untethered from the spike of worry and wondering that had me all tied up in knots and latch onto trusting God with all my heart. That’s when everything began to change. No, I wasn’t magically transported to a fairy tale ending. Something even better happened. On the wings of trust, my heavenly Father carried me above some tough terrain with love, peace and joy hitched along for the ride. I realized choosing to trust was a day by day, sometimes minute by minute decision.
